Siberian Cats: A Unique Personality and Affectionate Companion
Siberian cats exhibit delightful, dog-like personalities, making them incredibly affectionate companions. Their unique charm extends to greeting strangers, a trait uncommon among most cat breeds. Highly intelligent and quick learners, Siberians can even engage in games like fetch and “problem-solve” to achieve their goals. They enjoy human interaction, eagerly responding to their name when called.
One distinct characteristic of Siberians is their triple purr and unique chirping sound when expressing excitement or happiness. Their large, bushy tails are another endearing feature; standing at attention and shimmering when content. Unlike most cats, Siberians have a fascination with water, often playing with their water dishes or curiously investigating bathtubs before they dry.
Siberians are the epitome of an ideal lap cat: calm and relaxed yet playful and engaging when the time is right. Their adaptability and intelligence make them a perfect fit for various households, bringing joy and companionship to their families.

Siberian Cats: A Hope for Cat Allergy Sufferers
Our experience in breeding Siberians and welcoming numerous families into our home has led us to confidently say that individuals with cat allergies can often tolerate Siberians. While we cannot provide a 100% guarantee, many cat-allergic individuals have successfully lived with Siberian cats. Siberian breeders have discovered that Siberians produce reduced amounts of a potent allergen called Fel D1.
Fel D1 primarily originates from the skin’s glands, but it also spreads onto the fur through saliva during grooming. As the allergen flakes off, it becomes airborne and triggers common allergy symptoms. It’s important to note that both Fel D1 levels and human reactions vary within the Siberian breed and among individuals. Remember, “hypoallergenic” means the cat causes a lessened allergic response, not a complete absence. Through years of experience, we’ve helped countless people who couldn’t previously own a cat enjoy the companionship of a Siberian. Studies show that neutering significantly reduces Fel-D1 levels and allergic reactions since the allergen is hormonally controlled. Unneutered males produce the highest levels, and allergen levels drop sharply post-neutering in both genders. In households with cat allergies, consult your veterinarian for advice on early neutering.
With proper precautions and knowledge, many individuals can experience the joy of owning Siberian.

All cats are litter box trained, well socialized (they’ve been loved on daily by my 5, 4, and 2-year-old grandkids), and vaccinated, dewormed, and TICA registered.
